It's been almost 48 hours since Kenzen had his surgery. He is doing great. The only thing he needs to improve on is his kidney function. He hasn't been peeing much at all and that has made him pretty swollen and they can't close his chest until he's not swollen anymore. It is normal for these babies to not pee for 1-3 days after surgery they just like it to move a little faster so he can heal faster. We are hoping that they can close his chest on Friday and remove his drainage tubes and catheter sometime over the weekend. We had the missionaries stop by Monday night and help Dave give him a blessing after he was done. They blessed him that he would make a quick recovery and that it was time for him to come home and meet his family. Me and Dave are very relieved to hear that and can sleep well again. We know that everything will be okay and are looking forward to the day he gets to come home. The doctor said that they might be able to transport him back when he is more stable which is usually 3-4 weeks which we would really like cause then he would be close to home again and we wouldn't have to worry about driving him all the way home from here when it's time. It all depends on insurance. I will continue to update as he improves.
I am so happy to hear this great news. We have been praying for your family. Let us know if we can help you!
