WHY GOD SENDS HLHS BABIES
It's a beautiful day up in heaven. Jesus is rounding up his tiniest angels, to go live on earth, and be born. One of the sweetest angels says to Jesus "I don't want to leave, I like it here, and I will miss you." He reassures the scared little angel that everything will be okay, and that he is just going for a visit. He is still not swayed on this idea. So Jesus kneels down and says, "How about if you leave half of your heart here with me and take the other half with you. Will that be okay?" The angel smiles and says, "I guess that will work." But the little angel is still a little scared. He asks, "Will I be okay with only half of my heart?" Jesus replies, "Of course you will. I have other angels there that will help out, and you will be fine." Then Jesus gives the angel more details about his plan. He says, "When you are born your mommy will be scared, so you have to be strong, and when you feel weak just remember that I have the other half of your heart. Enjoy your time with your family play and laugh everyday, and when it's time to come back to heaven I will make your heart whole again. Always remember that you are not broken just torn between two loves."

Back in Minnesota
I arrived tonight around 9 and I'm going to be here with Kenzen until the 25 of May. I was very nervous to come here because on Thursday they started to take him off of his pain medicine and he started to have withdrawal symptoms and I was afraid it was going to be a very long and painful process. But when I got here tonight he is off of his pain medicine and they have used methadone to help him with that and he isn't having withdrawal symptoms which makes me very pleased and relieved I didn't want him to have to suffer with something like that. They also stopped his last medicine that was a drip a few days ago so the only things he is getting is his IV nutrition and some potassium supplement. He is doing really well and he looks great he isn't swollen anymore and he looks comfortable. His biggest challenges at this point is still getting off the ventilator which is going a lot slower then I thought it would and he is still having the chyle leak even on the portegen. They stopped his feeds a few days ago to try and get rid of the drainage and they will have to try a different kind of food to see if he can tolerate that. He is very strong and we are so grateful for how well he has done and how blessed we've been.
